Fall Fling 2016
The OBS Fall Fling is October 8 and 9 at Red Oak Campground in Okmulgee State Park. This is definitely one of my favorites! Drive to the park and camp on Friday night or meet us at Red Oak Campground Saturday morning. Just keep a lookout for the OBS banner and a lot of people smartly dressed in OBS jerseys. Tent sites are $12.00 per site. Motor homes are $20. More depending on what hookups you need. Showers are coin operated, so bring your change. If camping is not your thing, the town of Okmulgee is just 5 miles east of the campground. Ike’s is a personal favorite and has everything from burgers to grilled fish. Located at 104 S Morton, right downtown.
9:00 a.m. is the start time to ride to Henryetta for brunch on Saturday morning.
And of course our World Famous Potluck Dinner will be Sat night at 6 pm. Wondering what you can bring for the potluck dinner? Don’t forget to bring your own plates, utensils, drinking cups and beverage. Things like salads, rolls, desserts, casseroles, Dutch oven dinners, veggie trays and chips are all good ideas.
Sunday morning we will ride to Okmulgee for breakfast, and then circle the two lakes, Okmulgee and Dripping Springs. This is a hilly route but very scenic. Starting time will be determined by the participants.

Directions from OKC: Take I-40 East to Hwy 56 North near Okemah. As Hwy 56 circles around the north end of Okmulgee lake, look for signs directing you to the Okmulgee State Park campgrounds on the east side of the lake at Red Oak Campground. And if you’re coming from Tulsa, ya probably already know how to get there!
