OBS No-Drop Policy

The Oklahoma Bicycle Society rates rides for the terrain of the route and the expected average speed of the ride. The ride ratings are located at the end of each ride description and consists of the combination of a number and letter. These are defined in the table below. Ride leaders will provide on-site information and routes at each ride.

Starts at Whataburger at NW 36th and MacArthur.  Goes around Lake Overholser to Will Rogers Park. 16 miles at 12-20+ mph.  Suitable for most riders. No-Drop policy. Rating: 1 – A to D

Starts at Tennis Center parking lot at Will Rogers Park (near NW 39th and Portland).  Goes to Brown's Bakery at NW 10th and Walker. Eleven mile round-trip at 10-12 mph.  SUITABLE FOR NEW RIDERS AND FAMILY GROUPS. No-Drop policy. Rating: 1 – A

MOORE/NORMAN BREAKFAST RIDE  8:00 AM Daylight Saving Time only.
Starts at the Moore Public Library, 225 S. Howard Ave.. No-Drop policy. Suitable for most riders, including beginners. 20-30 miles at pace of slowest rider. Rating: 1 - A/B

OVERHOLSER EVENING RIDE   6:00 PM Wednesday Apr-Oct (DST)
Route 66 Park on the west side of the lake. There are usually four or five groups:  Fast paceline ride (20 + mph) 25-35 miles, medium pace (16-18 mph) 22-30 miles, moderate pace (13-15 mph) 18-26 miles and relaxed pace (10-12 mph) 8-16 miles. Medium, moderate and relaxed pace ride regroups as necessary and have No-Drop policy.

OVERHOLSER WINTER RIDE  6:00 PM Wednesday Nov-Mar (Standard Time)
This is more or less a continuation of the summer ride except that there is only one group and we just ride around the lake area.  Headlights and taillights are required for this ride.

 METRO-TECH SOUTH RIDE (currently inactive) 6:15 PM Tuesday Apr-Oct (DST)
Another chance for an evening during DST months. Distance will be about 21-28 miles. Come out and enjoy.

WEEKDAY LEISURE RIDE  9:00 AM Mon, Tue, Thu & Fri (Year Round)
Meets at the Lake Overholser Ranger Station (just north of NW 30th Street). Ride around the lake and then stop for breakfast at the Buffalo Grill. Ride for fun and exercise. No monitoring of heart rates allowed.

MONDAY/WEDNESDAY SOUTHSIDE RIDE 6:00 PM Daylight Saving Time only
Meets at Lake Draper Marina. Two Groups 12-14 miles and 16-25 miles. No Drop.

Meet at Wheeler Dealer, NW 50th east of May. Causual pace north to Grand Ave and Hefner Trails. NO DROP.

Meet at the Masonic Temple. 10 miles at a relaxed pace; 20 miles at a faster pace. Both are NO DROP rides.

Meet in parking lot behind the Sawyer Center on the Southern Nazarene University campus in Bethany (north side of NW 39th about halfway between Macarthur and Rockwell). Ride is a fun, slow cruise for all ages. Ride to a local coffee shop, then return. Read more here.

Three groups: Fast (20+ mph) for 30+ miles, Intermediate (15-18) for 25 miles, Wild Flowers (under 14 mph NO DROP) for 8-15 miles.
